Turning Cacao into Opportunity
Our main initiative is to aid La Argentina in becoming a thriving and economically self sustaining community-to be able to educate their youth, and provide the health services necessary to ensure a brighter future. To do so we will help them expand and capitalize on their unique ability to produce cacao beans-a product that is showing unprecedented value growth since 2024, outstripping even bitcoin and the US stock market. This will entail furnishing the means to increase their chocolate bean production, and bring the product to market in the most ethical, efficient and beneficial way.
WHY CACAO?
As of 2024, Colombia ranks 10th in global cocoa production, yielding over 59,000 metric tons annually. With an estimated 16.7 million hectares of land suitable for cacao cultivation, the country is well-positioned to expand its presence in the international market. Since 2011, cacao exports have surged by more than 400%, reflecting strong global demand and profitability. Notably, 95% of Colombia’s cacao is classified as “fine or flavor” by the International Cocoa Organization, underscoring its world-class quality. As demand for premium cacao continues to rise, communities like La Argentina are uniquely poised to benefit. By investing in cacao, we’re not just growing a crop-we’re cultivating a sustainable future for La Argentina’s families and children.
At MOCA Colombia, we are harnessing this opportunity to help La Argentina become a self-sustaining cacao-producing community. Through strategic partnerships, education, and direct investment, we aim to:
